My name is Ken James. I received my bachelor's degree in education and my Master's degree in school counseling from Valdosta State University. I also continued my education through Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia and received my Doctorate in Teaching and Learning from that institution. I have worked in the Atkinson County school system for 23 years. I began my career at Pearson Elementary School teaching students with specific learning disabilities in a resource classroom. From there, I became an inclusion teacher at the elementary school, working with all students in the general education classroom. When the middle school opened I moved on to the middle school in the same position. I was given the opportunity to teach mathematics for a few years before moving into my current post as school counselor. I enjoy working as the school counselor and serving students, parents, and teachers in any way that I can so that students will be successful. 

Mi nombre es Ken James. Recibí mi licenciatura en educación y mi maestría en consejería escolar de la Universidad Estatal de Valdosta. También continué mi educación a través de Liberty University en Lynchburg, Virginia y recibí mi Doctorado en Enseñanza y Aprendizaje de esa institución. He trabajado en el sistema escolar del condado de Atkinson durante 23 años. Comencé mi carrera en la Escuela Primaria Pearson enseñando a estudiantes con discapacidades específicas de aprendizaje en un aula de recursos. A partir de ahí, me convertí en maestra de inclusión en la escuela primaria, trabajando con todos los estudiantes en el aula de educación general. Cuando se abrió la escuela secundaria, pasé a la escuela secundaria en la misma posición. Tuve la oportunidad de enseñar matemáticas durante algunos años antes de pasar a mi puesto actual como consejero escolar. Disfruto trabajar como consejero escolar y servir a los estudiantes, padres y maestros en todo lo que pueda para que los estudiantes tengan éxito.
